As part of my course at the Canberra Institute of Technology we had to produce a folio of 15 images. I decided my folio would be about the beauty of birds in flight. We had three months to produce the folio while we were still studying and doing other assignments. Honestly, I underestimated the challenge of capturing 15 high quality images in that timeframe. I learnt a lot from the project, not only improving my skills at capturing birds in flight but also why projects can last months and even years. I am proud of the photos that I produced and I know that this is just the beginning. I loved this assignment and I loved photographing something that sits at the heart of what humans perceive as being the essence of a bird.
